its strange hur. more than a year past my last post, and i suddenly feel like being back here again.

i mean. "blogs were so last century"*cue bimbo voice*

but then. i guess, today's really been a reflecting day for me.

The past 2 months ever since the end of As, i have been partying like a mad dog.

okay. maybe partying is not the right word.

hows slacking, holidaying, rotting, slothing....

doing NOTHING with my life.

now i really want to do something right.

looking towards the future,

all i see is fear and fogginess.

i'm. damn. blardie. scared.

regret is what i really do not want.

but unless i do something to really prove to myself, this fear will always stick with me.

people keep telling me that results dont matter.

if you screw up As,

it is not the end.

but to me,

this low confidence, lacking in self esteem person,

Exams are the only way of proving to myself that i can do something(?)

i see everyone

hustling about their jobs

learning new stuff

and all i do is watch drama series.

i see talented people fly past.

and the only thing i am slightly more inclined towards,

(ie acting, daydreaming out drama series storylines)

today was..
a wierd day
first, i went to school
even though it was only half day,
to PON the whole day of lessons,
and camp in 24..
i swear, i dont think any of my classmates know i am in school...
ok lah
maybe those in tsd may know..
but yea, you get the drift.
spent the whole morning slacking..
didnt get ~~much~~ work done
watched eva and her poloroid bid frenzy on ebay earrrrrrly in the morning...
was quite interesting

then hung around
chit chat with the other guys in costume room( trina is now officially convinced that i am half a guy...thanks lah, arianto...say theres 6 1/2 guys and 1/2 girl in the room)
then ran out of school to cycle at ecp- i swear i love cycling
went backk to vj, cabbed to toa payoh to attend the finger players talk
-it was quite an experience...

splurged at popular- i love stationary
then took this suuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuper long bus ride from toapayoh all the way back home..
fell asleep in the wrong position, and kena neck cramp..

today, jireh unrolled the long length of paper that we wrote on 7 months ago..
the one about "what was theatre"..omg...
that seemed so freaking long ago...
i look at the words i wrote
and
i dunno
i get a wierd feeling up my throat..
like, so much has happened since i wrote them
and i have changed, so much..
the time i wrote those words,
was the time i was struggling with identity
the inability to fit in my class
in the ang mo culture
i had no idea wad tsd was about,
yet i knew it was what i wanted to do
i wanted to stay
a few weeks after i wrote that
i told jireh i wanted to quit tsd..
in 24, i remember..
in march, i was all prepared to say goodbye..
by this time, i was unwilling to part with tsd,
but willing to part with it on the conditions that i could get my csi dream
to pursue a more conventional career..
by the end of march i am still stuck in the same class
same school
same combi
but so much has changed.
i looked at my class
and the people around me in a different way
no longer were they the bunch of people i doubt i would see or talk to in school
instead,
they are the bunch of people i see everyday
the people i hang out with
the people that i look forward to seeing in school everyday.
the same bunch of people i couldnt fit in with
are the people that make school life bearable now..
i feel ashamed to have thought of dropping tsd..

when i was just starting to like tsd

what is theatre? theatre is about enjoying the process, and letting the audience see how much you enjoy the effort u put in.

it has been a wierd day..
today, 06/07/08, was tsd's public performance day
at 9am in the morning, we arrived in sch
cleaned up..
and everything
gt pissed off cos i couldnt seem to find my props anywhere
and 'cos i seem to be looking to the same props over and over again..
then something wierd happened..
while bumping in for underwired..
a T bar fell on Sam's head..
omg i was so shocked lah...
i rannnn, no, sprinted all the way to props alley to grab the first aid kit
and all the way back
somethings are just fated
omg..
hard to believe it sometimes..
its quite scary..
and very very dramatic
took over sam in desmond's piece- what a ghastly experience that was
me and jun feng were like whispering to each other
"let it end, faster end lah" while on the final block
i was bloody nervous.

how to work with people
how to find work to do

to have better social skills
be more sharp to spot mistakes
learn to be totally alert
to stay up later
and to prove to myself that i can do it

i am so bloody thankful i never left tsd
i would have been the worst decision of my life

tsd has ruled my life for the past 2 weeks

mass slotting
going to school and staying there for like, 12 hours a day?
i cant believe this..
but there is only 1 more week of this insane lifestyle
1 more week of this tiring nonsensical slotting
but i dun want it to end.

all my life i love this kind of "mass bonding sessions"
and tsd is like, the ultimate estacy of this feeling..

i finally admitted to my mom that i was doing all the psykang in tsd..
or rather, a portion of it
Arianto's still no. 1
and, as i expected...
she was already saying that the "cleverer" people are the ones who dont do the psykang,
but "effectively", arrange for people to DO the psykang,
while taking the credit.

she is so true
but having taken her advice in previous years
i have come to realise..
that THIS METHOD TOTALLY DOES NOT WORK WITH ME.

cos this requires too much mental power

it has barely been 14 and a half hours since we dispersed from Changi Airport
yet..
i miss u guys so much..
honestly,
i am shanghai sick..
u guys rock u noe..
8:13pm.
exactly a week ago,
half of the girls were crashing the boy's hostel..
(the rest went to carrefore)
the whole group of us sneaked past the guards and sneaked up 5 floors o the boy's room
at this time, we are probably on the floor,
outside the rooms
and introducing ourselves(of course there were constantly interruptions from people who just finished their baths and came out to join us..)
1 week ago,
we were all strangers..
1 week later,
today..
i cant imagine life without you guys..
back in singapore..
the fact that i am going back to my normal life is starting to sink in..
the pressure is starting to kill
my life would once again go back to air rifle, tsd, and sleeping..
it wont be as simple and fun as the past week
where all i had to worry about
was whether the shopkeeper would give me the price i want for something
and how to get some people to shut up
and getting enough sleep from gambling through the night..

1st of June- 2nd last night..
the fun really began today(?)..
this is the day the gambling clan was formed..
we started playing cards at 11 plus..
a friendly sesssion simply to pass time evolved into a new bond
haha, a new group of us was formed..
we played through the night,
untill 525am in the morning..
then we decided to stop and take a nap..
chee yong and ian went back to their room
while gabriel camped in our room
i had a brilliant night untill the stupid phone rang for morning call..

2nd of june- last night..
We decided to postpone the gambling session, because we decided to sneak out to go shopping
-the 5 of us.. Me, naomi, guan hua, gabriel and henry..
we went to ask 崔先生 whether there is any place nearby where we could go out to.
he said, discreetly, that we could take the mrt to 新街口 to walk around...
and so we invited the gambling clan, who call the other guys too..
so it ended up with the 13 of us, sneaking out to 新街口...taking the mrt on our own
and without the teacher's knowledge..
that adventure..
rocked like hell
whahahahahah
it was darn fun..
the mrt in china uses these plastic coins that work like ezlink cards!
damn cool!

when we finally found a place to shop,
i managed to get my last min souveniers
and we found this cool magic shop,
where we each bought magic tricks..
not very cheap, but super fun..
haha
it was like walking into zonkos..
joel bought 'the wallet who would not burn'
ming tjong-the already super pro cards trick person, bought a more complex card thingy
ian, my 小哥(because he is born on 30th dec) bought his super nice multiplying ball thingy
kevin gt the shrinking box, the disappearing pack of cards and the instant "ice"
i got the lightning, transferring trick
then me and chee yong shared and learnt 3 card tricks
the whole trip back
was super wierd
cos you could see people doing wierd stuff
practicing their tricks..
man, i am going to miss that part of the trip...
when we got back,
we decided to be crazy and attempted our 2nd- almost no sleep night
unfortunately,
only 4 of us lasted..
me, chee yong, gabriel and kevin..
surprisingly, 1 representative from each room
Ming Tjong, Ian and naomi k.oed before the night ended..
we lasted to 3 plus,
and then we all went to sleep- in our room..
so ian and naomi shared 1 bed(looking damn scandalous-haha.)
and i slept at the foot of the other bed, gabriel slept from the other side, and chee yong slept on the couch, with his legs propped on the bed
Ming Tjong and kevin went back to their room.
5 of us- 1 room..
lol...

GO GAMBLING CLAN

630: morning call-darn, i was the one who picked up the phone again..
chee yong and i managed to get the other guys plus naomi to wake up..
then we went to wash up and change into our school uniform...
and do our last packing up of stuffs..
715: my bag was already outside, waiting for the bell boys to come collect them.
naomi was still packing..
i hung around, checked for last min stuff which i left behind..
kevin and ming tjong already left for breakfast...
730(around there): we went for breakfast at the rotating restaurant..(the place where the tables were could revolve around the buffet area, and we could see the different sceneries!(even though the place was super foggy)) me, naomi, gabriel, chee yong, edmund and ian sat at the same table...- our last breakfast...
815: we finished out breakfast, and after stoning, we headed down to prepare to leave..
825: the bus left
900: we reached the 南京树人学校, and began our so called culture exchange where we went round the school( the english standard in this school is so much better than 进才's...), oh and i fell asleep during the music lesson(actually, all of us did)
1145: we had lunch at the school canteen..
12(something): we left the school and began our grueling 5 hour bus journey back to shanghai..
235: we stopped at some place for a break..and to change..(i changed into jeans!)
5(plus): we stopped at the pearl place to buy pearl powder and pearlm related stuff(i bought 3 packs of pearl powder and 2 packs of pearl cream...tracia bought 5 each laH!)
after that, we headed for dinner...
the last dinner was the best..
the food was the best(man, shanghai food tasted so good compared to nanjing's)
mr chan said his 4 Cs...
and our table did our 45 secs long YAM-SENG
then, we left for 正大广场-this super posh, super ex(worst than singapore price) shopping mall..
i actually bought this marker at 8 yuan from Muji...(to clear my coins)
830: we met up, and proceeded to the air port..
we packed in our final shopping stuffs, checked in our baggages(joel had to throw away his lighter fuel)then the teachers let us off till 1130 where we had to meet at the gate D79...
we ended up camping at the gate instead..
and played cards,
hung around..
laughed at ying ying for being the 屁股洞4 times in a row(we were playing asshole ti-tee)
1130: the gate opened, we entered the plane: SQ 825
12 midnight: The flight took off
throughout the whole flight, i watched The other boleyn girl...
the story's damn sad...
i tried watching definately, maybe, twice..
but ended up sleeping...
cos i was so tired..
459: the plane touched down- the end is near..
5plus: my mom went to the wrong terminal, so i went to look for her at the sky train...
i went home..
and slept till 4 in the afternoon..-cool rite..

i dunno why i am recording these 2 nights so deeply..
but it was so fun for me..
i dont want to forget them..
esp the last time..
when i left..
and everything..

the trip rocked..
and i miss it so much
sucks being back
i am back in my normal life..
sucks like hell..
-feels like pae all over again..
-the nasty bits..
the desperation...
i want to grasp it in my hands..
and not let go.
i dont want to stay alone at home..

and think all over again(as if my thoughts are not overthought enough)

after stoning the whole afternoon away..
i am finally 1 hr away till the end of this stupid taekwondo competition..
nt that it is supposed to be boring or what..

have been chaotic

yesterday, we marked the end of the exams with a celebration.
while other ppl were either at music fest(crashing, or legally)
we had our very own group music fest by K-ing at the breakwater at eastcoast.
takeaway subway was our dinner
the china-pai tsd gang started singing out(rather loudly)
after that, we went to bugis,
where we unleashed our long withheld shopping hunger(though i didnt gt to buy anything cos i was broke)
and watched in awe as naomi went from one bag to ther other

today was another great day
went to sch early today
actually wanting to train
bud ended up going to the marked beside kc
to buy mops/scrubs for daniel so ARC could scrub the water out( we were scrubbing and cleaning the floor)
then after that
23 of us went for the ikea outing
damn fun

listening the all of their crappy lame jokes

its so disturbing

i woke up early in the morning at 9

1)ENCHANTED-I AM SO WATCHING THIS SHOW! it looks so cool lah! the himbo prince charming getting knocked down by bicycles after he stood in the middle of the road and sang? i am so gonna watch it..it tickles me no matter how many times i watch the trailer..

The goodie bags:
A times magazine, school brochures, random story books(english and chinese depending what you get), a notebook, batteries, a heart shaped soft ball, seventeen magazine, a pack of milo, a 1-for-1 (some italian icecream stall which has a branch at Orchard) coupon and some other stuff i cant remember.
Comments: okay, here's the difference between a high calibre school and a 'not-as-high-calibre-school'. Are the bags from tj and hci similar?
State your stand: I feel that the two goodie bags are similar to a small extent.
Address the given factor: It is true and obvious in both cases, that the majority, at least 75% of the bags are made up of sponsored items. That is where they are similar. Hwa Chong has sponsors from (insert company names here) and TJ has also got sponsors from (insert company names here). The bags are similar when they both provide ice cream voucher from absolutely expensive premium icecream stall. They both are also similar when they provide the students with an inside view about the level of thriftiness in the school. In short, both bags are similar in the fact that they are both- bags.
Adress the differences: However, if we were to look into the bags, we can site many astounding differences between the two. Firstly, HCI supplied Sandy with one of the things she loves the most; A notebook. in doing this, they have already contrasted with Tj's goodie bag, who simply supplies us with a stack of junk. We have no use for the items in the majority of the tj bag, in HCI's case, the items they provide are highly usable in daily life. The pretty notebook, the times magazine and the story book all are enriching devices that are of use to the student. Even the batteries(no matter how ridiculous it sounds) is more of use than.. a 'singapore police corp' handphone cord.
Address another difference: which i am lazy to do^^
Conclude: All in all, i feel strongly that the two bags are NOT similar in terms of practicality and usefulness. Hence, GO HCI!

went for three jc open houses in the past 2 days
Mj, tj and vj.
and for those who did not manage to get to any,
here i shall be the critic for the 3 open houses.

lets start with the first thing we get before we even step into the school; goodie bags:
-Meridian JC: A freebie with a file, a school magazine, a gameaxis magazine, a bottle of new water, a uzumi(i tink thats how its spelt) icecream $1 voucher and some other misc. stuff.
Comments: i liked the thing at a whole..cos the file was quite nice, so was the bag. But unfortunately, it seems like the contents of the bags were not constant. Some people got the file, some got bags, some got tee-shirts, or none of the above three at all. Some had pen and notebooks, others did not..

-Temesek JC: A 'recycleable' bag which can be folded up(black). A bottle of newater, An umbrella from NTU, some brochures, a pen from somewhere, a notebook, a handphone chain?(the kind you can loop over your neck), a seventeen magazine and some misc stuff
Comments:i like the part about the umbrella^^just dat..anyone noticed? i tink half the stuff in the bag was actually sponsored?kinda reminds me of my school=cheapo?

-Victoria JC: A personalised bag(with the theme wild wild east). 3 brochures of the school, 1 roll of polo, 1 bottle of new water, a pen, a coupon for free kings icecream, a $100 voucher for some spectacle shop(which our school also gets), a $1 uzumi icecream voucher, and some other stuff
Comments:The part where they included snacks was nice, so that just in case some people get hungry we can get free food!

*ranking: s are for the bag[upon 3], s are for the stuff inside[upon 3]
Overall:i loved the VJC bag.. it was nice man....and just the right size too...

School Logos:

School spirit: Must i say? its common knowledge how brilliant VJ's school spirit is..
and how low TJ's is..serious..i almost fell asleep if not for the presence of ce they all
VJ's: their school spirit is hao daooooooo...Their mass dance, all minimum 3 types in all can be done by the whole big group of people who actually ran to join the dance.

School canteen: Vj wins, again. The number of vending machines is absolutely stunning. at least 4 for drinks, 2 for snacks. and the type of drinks vended range.
The canteen stores? they rock. The prices are lowwwwwwwwwww..and so freaking cheap...i couldnt help but stuff myself. and they are delicious too. THERES A FRUIT STALL!!!!! wow? the other 2 school's canteen were closed, but since VJ's rocked so much, i tink my stand will still remain. Oh, and the tables in vj were the nicest too.. the space was the most spacious.
As sandy says it, as long as the canteen sucks, i m so not stepping foot in that school

School surroundings: MJ wins. The school is freaking huge..and freaking NEW.Vj and Tj are ready to go into prime anytime soon.

Housing system: TJ has 4, Mj has 5 and Vj has 6 houses. You can see the difference, cos you can hear people screaming their house names in VJ. i actually realised there was a housing system in TJ after i looked at wiki.

Overall: OF COS VJ WIN LAH! I mean, the moment we stepped into the school, we saw this HUGE group of people, dancing and jumping coordinately. You can tell how united the school is..
it rocks like hell.
purlessss... we stayed just to see the mass dance again lah

After this, i m so goin to work hard to get into VJ.
and i m SO FREAKING ANGGRY
my L1R5, miss Arts stream by 1 point and science stream by 2. IF ONLI IF I HAD FREAKING HYDROCHLORIC ACID!

i witness a wierd conversation in the toilet today.
Had to answer the call of the nature during geog, so i made use of the 5 min break laiing gave us and rushed to the WC..
met 2 china scholars(i tink sec 3s)on the way in
and as i was wondering how wierd their accent sounded,
i went into the only cubicle
available; the last cubicle
there, i heard china student A ask B
"哦 B ，我问你，你情愿当一只忧郁的小马，还是一只春风美满的小猪呢"#
B replies (i cant remember wad)
A continues"如果我得选我情愿当哪只春风美满的小猪"
the two china~~freaks~~leave the cubicle and leave the toilet
apparently, i was not the only person eavesdropping on the conversation
2 singaporean studens : R and M*, who were outside waiting for the toilets, was also listening
when the 2 china ppl leave the toilet,
R and M enters the cubicles
R says "i rather be the horse"
M says " i rather be the pig"
R :" you are a pig"
then R says ~~a very hilarious reply~~"who kind of stupid question was that?"
the rest of the conversation was discussing what kind of animal they would rather be.

Seeing ms ang- she doesnt look like she grew any older..

i really miss those pri sch times..

a cosy 10 classes for the whole school..

yea yea i noe that this is my 3rd post in one day..

then..
i went to hear rui en's songs
(btw did u noe rui en sang tao yan? i like that song.. yet i didnt noe it was sung by her!)

the point is.
that i clicked to hear the rui en songs..

suddenly
i ended up watching every national day theme song..
and i tell u
i almost cried..
actually i'm on the verge of tears right now..
especially the beginning songs..
i see the videos..
then all the little children
all the old scenes..
and then i tink about my primary school...
about we young dat time..

The two shows are similar to a large extent.
Since i'm lazy to write out a whole eSSay on it,
i shall save you guys the agony of reading it by giving it in point form
(for such questions are suppose to be listing out the differences? oh well, i shall just list them out...)

Similarities:
The storyline is about 3 sisters and they getting married.
They live in a single-parent family - a father.

Both oldest sisters are very strong-willed and are very career minded.
The oldest sister and her future husband both work in an advertising company
The four of them hold the same position : Creative Director
The two couples are constantly at loggerheads before they pair up.

The second sister are ugly, tomboy freaks.
The two of them miraculously turn into beauties on their wedding day.(or rather for the wedding day photoshoot)
Both of them are called "jinx" by their future husbands.
They both go for countless matchmaking sessions.
They both fall in love with the handsome future husband of their youngest sister.
